TouchDIVER Pro expands into full-body ergonomic simulation

TouchDIVER Pro continues to push the boundaries of immersive interaction with its latest Unreal SDK update: now the system can render a virtual avatar that accurately represents the operator’s body in real time. This enables precise visualization of posture, positioning and spatial interaction within a digital environment, extending the experience beyond hand-based haptics into full-body awareness.

Real-time avatar and ergonomic analysis

The new avatar system provides a dynamic digital representation of the user, supporting the evaluation of ergonomic factors such as reachability, comfort and accessibility. It can be animated through inverse kinematics using the glove trackers as reference points, with the option to add extra trackers for more accurate articulation, including independent elbow movement. This makes the solution particularly effective for workstation design and validation, helping identify inefficiencies and improve layout through data-driven insights.

Advanced interaction and environmental awareness

The avatar is capable of detecting collisions with surrounding objects, distinguishing between hands, body and head, and generating detailed interaction events. It also supports the animation of feet and legs, enabling realistic simulation of movement such as walking or navigating obstacles. These features create a more immersive environment where interactions are accurately processed and translated into valuable data on usability and freedom of movement.

With this release, TouchDIVER Pro enhances its capabilities as a tool for immersive simulation and ergonomic analysis. By combining full-body tracking with detailed interaction feedback, it provides developers and designers with a powerful solution for optimizing user experience in environments where human factors are critical.
