The intensity of these sensations is influenced by the virtual materials involved. TouchDIVER spans a temperature range from 15°C to 42°C with remarkable 0.1°C precision and swift response times. This capability is invaluable in contexts like safety training and industrial use, where precise thermal feedback is crucial. Additionally, it proves beneficial in gaming, medical simulations, virtual tourism, and architectural design. The ability to simulate thermal flow through materials improves materials identification by recreating variations in thermal conductivityfor instance, how metal feels cooler than wood due to their distinct heat conduction properties.
